A phenol free paint remover for use in the removal of the more resistant paint coatings, such as polyurethanes from the metallic surfaces of aircraft and electronic equipment.
This paint remover does not contain any chromate compounds or substances and shall be free from ammonia and any acid activating agents.
The paint remover contains dichloromethane (CAS Registry Number: 75-09-2)
The paint remover shall be non-flammable.
This Defence Standard includes a requirement for Product Conformity Certification (PCC) as detailed in Clause 6. The paint remover is not suitable for use on composites, seals, rubbers, plastics or adhesive bonded structures.
This material is only to be used by suitably trained and licenced or certified personnel.
