This Def Stan specifies the requirements for a temporary paint which is applied to the exterior surfaces of Land Service Vehicles and Equipment to provide a visual colour to suit the theatre of operational requirements.
Paint complying with this Def Stan is not suitable for use on aircraft or aerospace components.
White paint may be specified as either UN White or Arctic White. When Arctic White is specified, it will satisfy the requirements of Standard Agreed (STANAG) 2835.
All other colours shall be Infra Red Reflecting (IRR).
Paint complying with this Def Stan is not suitable for application to Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) or Canvas fabricated tilts.
