This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for a fast evaporating surface cleaner suitable for degreasing and cleaning both painted, bare metal and pre-treated aerospace surfaces prior to painting. It is also suitable for degreasing and cleaning composites and plastic substrates (e.g. polymethyl methacrylate and polycarbonate). The surface cleaner complies with the European Solvent Emissions Directive (SED) and UK Process Guidance Note PG6/45.
