MODUK DEF STAN 81-12 PDF

This Defence Standard specifies both the materials and the manufacturing requirements for three styles of cases used for the packaging of Service equipment up to 200 kg mass. 

It includes the use of; plywood, oriented strand board or medium density fiberboard for construction purposes. 

It is a manufacturing standard only and contains no information on dimensional limitations or the use of the cases in package design; these are included in Def Stan 81-41 (Part 2). 

Suppliers of a wooden case, that differs in construction from the specification described in this Defence Standard (including materials, fasteners, lifting aids, techniques etc), must ensure that the case has been tested as fit for the purpose intended using Def Stan 81-41 (Part 3).
