This Defence Standard specifies requirements for pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes; supplied in rolls, suitable for sealing joints of irregular contour, the performance of which is such that it is suitable for use in packages designed to meet the requirements of Defence Standard 81-41.
Type 1; Plastic film based tape; conformable water-resistant; for resealing polyethylene barriers, where a measure of resistance to water is required.
Type 2; Fabric based Tape, suitable for making or reinforcing the closures of packages or containers.
ype 3; Plastic film based tape, Transparent, water-resistant, suitable for protecting paper labels.
Note: Types 1, 2 and 3 are direct replacements for Def Stan's 75-1, 75-2 and 75-3 respectively.
