This Standard specifies requirements for three types of paper wrapping for military use;

Type 1; A Waxed paper for use as a primary wrap in packaging (was Def Stan 81-30 Issue 4)

Type 2; A Tissue paper for use as a primary wrap (was Def Stan 81-89) 1.1.3 Type 3; A Wrapping paper for textiles (was Def Stan 81-105)

The applications and methods of packaging using this material are detailed in Parts 2 and 5 respectively of Defence Standard 81-41, Packaging of Defence Materiel.

This standard does not cover material for use in Munitions Packaging; see Def Stan 81-140.
