This Standard specifies requirements for six types of paper wrapping or barrier for military use:

a) Type 1; Annex A, Waxed paper for use as a primary wrap in packaging, (Waxed)

b) Type 2; Annex A, Tissue paper for use as a primary wrap, (Tissue)

c) Type 3; Annex A, wrapping paper for textiles, (Tex)

d) Type 4; Annex B, Paper, Kraft Union (PKU)

e) Type 5 Annex B, Paper, Creped, Kraft Union, reinforced (PCKUR)

f) Type 6 Annex C, Paper, Kraft, Creped, Wet-Strengthened (WS)

g) Type 7 Annex C, Paper, Kraft, Creped, Anti-Bleed (AB)

The applications and methods of packaging using this material are detailed in Defence Standard 81-041, Part 2 Design

This standard does not cover material for use in Munitions Packaging.
