This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for water-resistant film, pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, which is supplied in rolls, suitable for closing or reinforcing the closures of packages or containers, where a measure of resistance to water is required and where tapes supplied to BS 3887 are not suitable.
Use of this tape is restricted to Level N and P packages as defined in Def Stan 81-41, Part 2, Annex C, Table C.2.
