This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for water-resistant film, pressure sensitive adhesive tape, which is supplied in rolls, suitable for making or reinforcing the closures of packages or containers, where a measure of resistance to water is required and where tapes supplied to BS 3887 are not suitable.
Use of this tape is restricted to Level N and P packages as defined in Def Stan 8 1-41, Part 2, Table W.
