This standard specifies the requirements for the packaging of individual assembled or unassembled engine pistons and piston sets to Military Level N and J.
This standard only covers components with Primary Packaged Quantities (PPQ’s) that are single or sets.
PPQ’s of one with a maximum mass of contents of 10 kg and sets with a maximum mass of contents of 55 kg are included and may be supplied assembled or unassembled.
Except those for aircraft engines, all diesel and gasoline engine pistons are included.
