This standard specifies the requirements for the packaging of fuel injection pumps up to and including 30 kg mass, and fuel injectors, to Military Level P, N and J.
The fuel injection pumps covered by this standard are those fitted with mechanical governors, open or closed circuit hydraulic governors and pneumatic governors.
This standard is based on a Primary Package Quantity (PPQ) of one. When the contract or order specifies a PPQ greater than one, the Services Packaging Instruction Sheet (SPIS) shall follow the principles of this Standard.
