This standard specifies requirements for the packaging of Handsets, Headsets, Microphones, Ancillary Parts and Accessories to Military Levels P, N and J.
This standard does not cover the packaging for microphones and similar equipment used in oxygen masks.
This standard does not cover the packaging of items identified as being electrostatic discharge sensitive devices.
This standard is based on a Primary Package Quantity (PPQ) of one. When the contract or order specifies a PPQ greater than one, the Services Packaging Instruction Sheet (SPIS) shall follow the principles of this Standard.
