GENERAL

This Specification defines the minimum requirements for the treatment of Gas Turbine type aero-engines to ensure their protection against corrosion during storage and transit, under all climatic conditions.

The requirements of this Specification shall apply in conjunction with any additional requirements listed in the relevant Air Publication for specific types of engine. Where doubt exists as to tha complete procedure for a specific type of engine, advice shall be sought from the RTO(E) of the parent organisation responsible for the of the engins.
