PURPOSE OF THE SWITCHING PROGRAMME

The Autophase (MFDA2) Protection is being replaced with a Microphase FM on the listed circuits. This programme describes the on-load checks needed to prove the correct operation of the new protection.

The Microphase FM protection is unproven and therefore the following tests will be carried out to prove its correct operation. The other main protection is a proven protection system and therefore no temporary commissioning protection is required.

A list of applicable circuits is given below.

This program does not take into account any technical limitations in routine switching of circuit but is sufficiently flexible for Control Engineers to decide which end to charge and put circuit on-load. Any special site operations specific to the circuit in question should be completed in Appendix 2 which will be sent to System Management along with the signed front sheet.
