This specification defines the characteristics and test requirements for all conductor fittings procured for installation on National Grid overhead lines, except spacers and vibration dampers which are covered in NGTS 3.4.1 and NGTS 3.4.7 respectively. In this Specification the term 'conductor fittings' is used to denote fittings which make direct contact with a phase or earth conductor. It also includes earth bonds. Additional requirements for Matthew conductor fittings are covered in NGTS 3.4.13.
