This Specification governs communications links between terminal locations on a site or to a point just off site. The interconnecting cable between terminal locations shall be not more than 2.5 km in length. Equipment shall be part of a stand alone communications link, which is not part of, or connected to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
