This Specification refers to ropes which are used in NGC Live Line Procedures in the vicinity of live parts where there is a likelihood that the rope will be in intermittent or continuous contact with live parts (phase to phase or phase to earth). It is a requirement for this class of rope that they will not become conductive when wetted.
This Specification does not refer to ropes which may be used in parallel with live conductors or busbar connections.
