This Specification details the functional and performance requirements for Dynamic System Monitoring.

Common requirements for System Monitoring are given in NGTS 3.24.68; Dynamic System Monitoring is one of three functionalities specified.

Dynamic System Monitoring is required for use at selected 400, 275, 132 kV and other lower voltage substations to provide data on a substation and system-wide basis of System Dynamic behaviour. The data produced is for use for Grid Code monitoring, system incident analysis and system benchmarking.
