This Specification details the requirements for a loudspeaking telephone which may be directly or indirectly connected to British Rail's Private Branch Network.
The telephone shall be provided to mount semi-flush into a wall with a protuding bezel capable of carrying a sign.
A typical application will be to allow members of the public on unattended platforms to request information or summon help from the Station Operations Room.
