The guidance applies to all Route Asset Managers (Signalling) and Infrastructure Projects undertaking works on Automatic Half Barrier (AHB) Crossings and Miniature Stop Light (MSL) Crossings. Other types of level crossings are excluded from the scope.
Purpose
The purpose of this notice board is to highlight the potential issues with non-directional treadles installed on Automatic Half-Barrier and Miniature Stop Light Level Crossings, and the ways that these issues can be prevented from becoming operational risks.
