This Notice Board applies to all staff both within Network Rail and its Contractors/Suppliers who are engaged in Signal Works and/or Signal Maintenance Testing.

Purpose

Due to the impact of the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, briefing for updates to the Signalling Works Testing Handbook (NR/L3/SIG/30014) and Signal Maintenance Testing Handbook (NR/L3/SIG/11231) have been postponed.

This Notice Board provides guidance on managing signal testing with the expected reduction in the availability of skilled resource as a direct result of COVID-19.

Detailed guidance is provided on both –

• implementation of the standards updates; and

• competency issues.
