Purpose 

This Notice Board gives additional information to that already contained within NR/L3/ELP/00110 Maintenance of Electrification, Plant, Signalling and Telecommunications Equipment Incorporating Asbestos Materials or Components, Section B.16 Signal Relays. 

It contains information on handling, transporting, and working with signal relays which include asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). 

Issue 2 of this Noticeboard has been updated to increase the scope to ALL ages of black bases and include the process for labelling and packaging of relays, for transportation. Improvement in formatting have also been carried out.
