The scope of this manual covers guidance on the use of the Standard Footbridge Designs for Stations that are listed in NR/L3/CIV/151/F010. They replace the Series 700 design in earlier versions of the above document.

Purpose

This manual provides decision making tools for anyone who is involved in designing and delivering footbridges on railway stations. It also provides a qualitative comparison of the available designs which should assist in selecting the most appropriate design for each location.

Separate design guidance is available from Technical Authority (TA) for projects where none of the generic designs is deemed suitable.
