This Guidance Note relates to the implementation of the Risk Based Maintenance regimes identified within NR/L2/SIG/10661.
There is currently no mandatory requirement for the introduction of risk based maintenance regimes for any assets covered by existing Network Rail maintenance regimes. However, where the implementation of risk based maintenance regimes is planned, this shall be undertaken in accordance with the requirements of NR/L2/SIG/10662.
The requirements defined within this document aid compliance with sections 8.2, 8.4 and 8.10 of NR/L2/SIG/10662.
Purpose
The purpose of this Guidance Note is to provide guidance for the implementation of risk based maintenance regimes.
