NR NR/GN/TRK/2500 ISSUE 1 PDF

NR/L2/TRK/2500 (5.2.4) sets out the requirement for providing RE/PW drawings for novel layouts or configurations. RE/PW/8000 series drawings are to be provided to capture the arrangements of any plain line Track or Switches and Crossings (S&C) renewal, or heavy maintenance job, that meets the triggers outlined in clause 6. These drawings are produced to the general principles outlined in clause 7.

This document applies to anyone involved in the specification, procurement, supply or installation of any in-scope track system renewal. Typically this would involve Project Engineers (delivery) and Route Asset Management Engineers (specification). S&C suppliers may also identify and recommend the need for 8000 series drawings.

Purpose 

To inform Network Rail and supply chain staff of the principles and requirements of RE/PW/8000 series drawings to capture and assure novel or higher risk track configurations.
