All equipment owned or operated by Network Rail for the sole purpose of distributing230V, 400V, and 650V AC (as illustrated in Figure Q1) to operational signalling loads are covered by this module. 

Figure Q1 shows the extent of the signalling power distribution system. 

Examples of equipment installed in a signalling power distribution system that are covered by the scope of this module are: 

• Trackside distribution feeders. 

• Auto-reconfiguration equipment. 

• Insulation monitors and protective devices including electronic relays, including those in the PSP.

UPS equipment in such installations is maintained in accordance withNR/L2/ELP/27238/APP-N. 

Standby Generators are maintained in accordance with NR/L2/ELP/27238/APP-A.
