This Network Rail standard specifies the general requirements and specific tasks to be performed on Network Rail’s mechanical and electrical fixed plant.

This specification applies to all maintenance carried out on fixed plant assets owned and operated by Network Rail. 

This standard is supported by modules that specify the maintenance regime for the assets. The detailed scope for each asset is shown at the start of individual modules. 

The modules are shown in Table 1. Those Highlighted in Bold are the latest amendments for this issue. 

Purpose 

This standard forms part of an overall maintenance specification suite which includes work instruction and competence requirements.
