This competence standard applies in all circumstances where any person is required to maintain, install, fault or test the traction and bonding cables on Network Rail controlled infrastructure.
This module is to develop the persons working under direction for carrying out work for which they will be responsible, and which has the potential to affect the integrity of DC CRE and associated components, whose work involves installing or maintaining traction cables and bonding systems.
Purpose
The purpose of this competence standard is to define the competence requirements for persons required to undertake tasks on traction cable and bonding systems on DC Conductor Rail Equipment (CRE). The person is most likely to be in a technician role.
