This Network Rail standard specifies the records management processes for:

a) agreeing the content of the H&S file. This is determined during the preconstruction phase and detailed in the Construction Phase Plan;

b) the delivery and acceptance of H&S files;

c) the onwards management and update of H&S files.

This standard applies to Network Rail staff and Network Rail contractors who carry out work where Network Rail is the Client as detailed in CDM Regulations.

Purpose

This standard specifies the records management requirements for the management of health and safety (H&S) files. This standard is compliant with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM Regulations).
