This Network Rail standard specifies the records management processes for:

a) the delivery and acceptance of H&S Files into steady state;

b) the content of H&S Files;

c) the onwards management and update of H&S Files.

This standard is mandatory for Network Rail staff and Network Rail contractors who carry out work on Network Rail infrastructure where a H&S File is a requirement under the CDM Regulations.

Purpose

This standard specifies the records management requirements for the management of Health and Safety (H&S) files. It is intended that this specification is compliant with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM Regulations).
