This Network Rail standard applies to all investment projects delivered within the Infrastructure Projects and Asset Management (Renewals) group.

This standard:

a) identifies the key planning and programme controls instructions to be followed at each stage of a project's lifecycle;

b) identifies how compliance with each instruction is to be monitored.

Purpose

This standard forms part of the suite of documents comprising the Planning and Programme Controls standard.

The purpose of this document is to define the minimum mandatory Project Control Cycle (PCC) processes and instructions that are to be followed by all programmes and projects within Network Rail Infrastructure Projects and how compliance with these instructions are monitored.

The PCC exists so that all investment projects in Network Rail are delivered consistently and successfully to meet their time, cost and quality targets.
