This module defines the processes and hierarchy of controls for use when establishing a site of works segregated from the operational railway on a platform within a station environment.

Purpose

This module provides risk-based controls to works on a platform within a station environment so it can be segregated from the railway. 

The module: 

a) eliminates, or reduces to as low as reasonably practical, risk to the operational railway; 

b) allows for efficiencies, as once the site of work designated as segregated from the railway is set up, NR/L2/OHS/019 does not have to be applied and non-PTS operatives can be utilised. 

NOTE: All other relevant Network Rail standards are applicable to works using this standard.
