This Standard applies to all demountable MEWP and / or lifting equipment / modules fitted to any on-track machine (OTM) or on-track plant (OTP) - the base vehicle.
Some examples of equipment covered by this standard are :
• Baskets fitted to excavator or cranes
• MEWPs on modular systems
• Knuckle boom cranes on modular systems
Purpose
This Standard details the requirements for examining MEWPs and lifting equipment in accordance with legislation when attaching to the base vehicles. These arrangements are intended to maintain the integrity of the LOLER "Thorough Examination" process.
