This specification applies to individuals who are introducing or amending Level Crossing systems for Network Rail managed infrastructure, where EULYNX interfaces are required. 

This document contains the Network Rail application requirements for the following EULYNX system and interface:

• Level Crossing System [Eu.Doc.108] [Eu.Doc.112]

• Interlocking to Subsystem Level Crossing Standard Control Interface (SCI-LC)[Eu.Doc.109]

• Interlocking to External Level Crossing System Standard Control Interface (SCI-LX) [Eu.Doc.112]

• Maintenance and Data Management System Subsystem Level Standard Diagnostic Interface (SDI-LC) [Eu.Doc.110]

Requirements in NR/L2/SIG/19820/L01 Specifications for EULYNX Interface –Generic are applicable in addition to the above. 

Figure 1 – The EULYNX System

Figure 1 provides an overview of the Sub-Systems and Standard Communication Interfaces defined for EULUNX. The relevant sub-system and interfaces to this document are shown in red.

Purpose 

This specification sets out the specific technical requirements for the application of the EULYNX Level Crossing systems and interfaces. 

It is intended that this document is read in conjunction with NR/L2/SIG/19820/L01 Specification for EULYNX – Generic, and all applicable subsystem and interface documentation published by EULYNX Consortium.
