This instruction applies to all persons engaged in the maintenance of CIS computers used by Network Rail and/or the SFO.
Power supplies, UPS equipment or batteries associated with CIS Control System should be maintained as detailed in NR/L2/TEL30081.
Purpose
This instruction defines the requirements for an inspection regime by the telecoms maintainers of CIS control equipment used by Network Rail and/or the SFO.
The purpose of maintaining CIS control equipment is to decrease the incidence of failures through deterioration and to identify potential defects before they become service effecting.
