This module specifies Network Rail’s requirements that are applicable to signage at level crossings.

The requirements in this module apply in addition to general requirements specified in NR/L2/XNG/30020/R01 and other modules that are specific to the different types, or particular configurations of level crossings.

This module applies to new level crossings and to existing level crossings where reasonable opportunity to comply with this module is identified.

This module applies to those scoping and designing level crossing works.

Signs that are prescribed in PC(S+B)s Regs or TSRGD are not repeated in this module unless there are additional requirements or clarification surrounding their use. For this reason, the majority of this module is focussed on station, footpath, bridleway, and user-worked level crossings.
