This part of the handbook applies to use of the Tunnel examination report template for reporting:
Detailed Examinations, Visual Examinations and Additional Examinations of lined Tunnels;
Unlined Tunnel Examinations, Visual Examinations and Additional Examinations of unlined Tunnels.
The report template is used to derive the TCMI score for lined Tunnels.
The template may be used to report unlined Tunnel examinations but a TCMI score will not be derived.
The TCMI master template is obtainable from STE Mining and Tunnels team. The template installation procedure is described in Appendix A.
Purpose
The purpose of this part of the handbook is to give guidance to the methods to be used and data to be provided to record the results of an examination of a Tunnel, and to derive the Tunnel condition marking index (TCMI) score.
