The scope of this standard is defined by the range of Works covered by the scope requirements in clause 2.2 of NR/L2/CIV/003, utilising the SDD listed in NR/L3/CIV/151/01 and NR/GN/OTK/5000, which collectively form the SDC. 

Purpose 

The purpose of this standard is to define how Standard Designs and Details (SDD), which together form the Standard Design Catalogue (SDC), are applied for Buildings and Civil Engineering Works. 

This standard outlines the procedure for adding a new SDD to the SDC and applying the SDD to projects for assurance in accordance with NR/L2/RSE/02009 and NR/L2/CIV/003. 

NOTE : The SDDs have been developed over almost two decades hence the assurance documentation within the SDC comprises a variety of formats.
