This standard applies to suppliers who are prioritised by Network Rail as ‘Principal Contractors' i.e. who may be (or are) working on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure as Principal Contractor.

NOTE 1 - ‘Management Systems' items listed under "Confirming arrangements meet specified requirements" are assessed:

• initially, to confirm that the management system meets the requirements specified in this document and referenced documents;

• where arrangements have changed materially since the last assessment, to establish that the management system continues to meet the specified requirements.

NOTE 2 - ‘Management Process' items listed under "Confirming implementation of the arrangements" are assessed:

• periodically, to establish that the management system is being adequately implemented.

Purpose

This document sets out the management system requirements for suppliers prioritised by Network Rail for a ‘Principal Contractor's' Licence.

NOTE - Suppliers prioritised for a Principal Contractor's Licence shall also comply with NR/L3/CPR/302 'Supplier Qualification – Core Requirements'.
