This work instruction covers the activities required for preparing, undertaking and completing an OLE asset condition assessment.

It applies to assessments being undertaken within designated pilot areas of LNW – West Coast South and LNE – North East only as required for collation of data for the 2007/8 Annual Return to the Rail Regulator.

Purpose

This document is a specific module of NR/WI/ELP/27237 and is an update of work instruction B13 in order to conduct a pilot scheme. This document specifies the procedure to be followed so that overhead line assets in the pilot areas undergo condition assessments in a correct and consistent manner in accordance with the methodology specified.
