This procedure applies to all the MMTs owned and operated by Network Rail Infrastructure Maintenance (IM) and all Network Rail staff. The procedure works in collaboration with applicable standards of any Railway Undertaking (RU) contracted to operate the MMT.
This module is applicable to all modes of operation when the MMT will operate next to an open adjacent line and exceed W6A gauge by going Out-of-Gauge (OOG).
Purpose
This module provides operational processes that reduce the risk of the out of gauge MMT colliding with a passing train or track side structure.
