This procedure shall apply:

• When adding, removing, or changing assets and maintenance regimes as a result of project works – please see Sections 4.1, 4.3, 4.4 and 4.10;

• When adding, removing, and changing asset characteristics and maintenance regimes during maintenance – please see Section 4.5; and

• When verifying asset information – please see Section 4.6.

Purpose

This document describes the process that shall be used to update data concerning the infrastructure assets of Network Rail.

This procedure implements within the Maintenance function the requirements of Network Rail Specification NR/SP/BUS/02250 Asset Data Management, and applies only to those assets that are maintained by Maintenance.
