The standard applies to the planning for the use of OTP which includes RRVs and RMMMs, their trailers and attachments by Infrastructure Maintenance in possession of the line or siding for engineering work (refer to the modular rule book, GE/RT8000).

This standard does not apply to the planning of Tampers, Stone Blowers, Ballast Regulators or other On-Track Machines (OTM), Track Renewal Machine (TRM's), General Purpose Crane (GPC) and Track Maintenance Machine (TRAMM), which are dealt with in other procedures.

Purpose

This standard defines the standard process, roles and responsibilities and the operational control measures for planning for the use of On-Track Plant (OTP).
