This procedure applies to those individuals that plan and manage short-term access to the railway infrastructure. The responsibility for all access planning and delivery lies with the Area Delivery Planning Manager but requirements for access will be identified by all organisations that do work. This procedure does not define how work is planned, only the Possession associated with that work.
Purpose
This procedure describes the national process for short term access planning from the issue of the Confirmed Period Possession Plan (CPPP) at T-26 to the T+1 review of the access delivered. For purposes of clarity, the procedure is broken down into three sections, as follows:
• T-26 and T-14
• T-14 and T-5
• T-5 and T+1
To avoid duplication, section 7 has been separated out to cover the Area Weekly Access Planning Meeting which reviews the access plans for T-14, T-6, T-3, T-10 days and T+1 each week.
