This document applies to all NDS employees that in support of NDS areas of operation, utilise substances and products that are deemed hazardous to health. It also includes the Railways Spares organisation who act as the interface between suppliers of hazardous substances and the end users within Infrastructure Maintenance Group.

Purpose

This level 3 company standard defines the process for the management of hazardous substances and products within the National Delivery Service (NDS) utilising the Sypol COSHH Management System. The use of this COSHH system will assist the NDS and its employees in complying with the requirements of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 and company standard NR/L2/OHS/00103.
