This procedure applies to:

a) Crossing Keepers;

b) Moveable Bridge Operators;

c) Shift Signaller Managers;

d) Mobile Operations Managers;

e) Route Operations Controllers; and

f) Electrical Control Room Operators.

Visits to signallers are covered in NR/L3/OPS/045/2.06.

PURPOSE

This procedure provides assurance that:

a) operational activities are being carried out correctly; and

b) equipment is being:

i) operated safely;

ii) operated in accordance with rules and Instructions; and

iii) maintained in good working order.

This includes visits to signalling locations.
