The procedure is applicable to the roles that have accountability and conduct consultation with parties involved for the protection of UWC(T) and to provide the information to help select the most appropriate protection for Signaller’s Decision Points.
PURPOSE
This procedure sets out the requirements to provide signallers with a means of deciding when it is appropriate to allow a user at a UWC(T) to traverse a User Worked Crossing with Telephone (UWC(T)).
The process lessens the likelihood of human errors by signallers, reduce the complexity of crossing decisions that signallers are required to make, provide a reliable and consistent method for signallers at signalling locations to better manage the process for allowing users to traverse a UWC(T).
