This document applies to all Network Rail contract areas where RRV and RMMM are operated under Network Rail's SMS.
The arrangements covered by this document apply only to items of rail plant operated within a possession, i.e. Road Rail Vehicles (RRVs), Rail Mounted Maintenance Machines (RMMMs), and the work supervision of on-track plant and operators by site supervisors.
Purpose
This procedure describes how Network Rail undertakes unobtrusive monitoring of Road Rail Vehicle (RRV) or Rail Mounted Maintenance Machine (RMMM) operations being undertaken utilising Network Rail's Safety Management System (SMS).
