This Technical Instruction applies to the overlay of TPWS on all routes operated by the RETB system of signalling.

PURPOSE

This Technical Instruction describes the overlay of TPWS on routes operated by the RETB system of signalling and outlines the requirements for this by reference to supporting documentation. It also specifies the following:

• selection of which Stop Boards require TPWS fitment;
• the operational (functional and safety) requirements for the overlay of TPWS on the RETB system.
