This procedure shall be applied to the management of defective signalling cables. The requirements of NR/L3/SIG/11231 Signal Maintenance Testing Handbook and NR/L2/SIG/10064 General Instructions to Staff Working on S & T Equipment take precedence.
Purpose
To define the specific responsibilities of maintenance staff for the diversion of working circuits following identification of one or more faulty cable cores, and the associated testing and monitoring of cables.
